Dr. BJ Meunier
BJ graduated from Tufts Veterinary School in 1993 and established Townsend Veterinary Hospital in the Old Brick Store in West Townsend in 1995. The new facility was completed in 2005, and the practice relocated one mile down Main Street to its current address in Townsend.
BJ loves difficult diagnostic challenges and has a dedication to pursuing all possible options to help a patient. He has pursued additional training in ultrasound imaging.
The most important thing to BJ is his family. He is an extremely dedicated father and husband to his wife, Margo and his four children, Aubrey, Noah, Bennett, and Luca. BJ lives in Ashby and spends his free time attending to his kids’ activities which include Little League, ice hockey, theater, and piano. He is an avid Red Sox fan and attends as many games as possible.
Dr. Jim Easley
Board Certified Surgeon
Dr. Easley joined Townsend Veterinary Hospital in 2005. He graduated from Washington State Veterinary School in 1967 and completed his surgical residency and training at Angell Memorial Medical Center in 1975. He is a board-certified veterinary surgeon.
He lives in Lancaster with his wife, Sandra and his adorable Maltese, Pearl. They have a daughter and two grandchildren. Dr. Easley enjoys spending time with his grandchildren, fishing, bowling, and riding his motorcycle.
Dr. Michaela Krafve, DVM
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Mike graduated from St. George’s University in Grenada, West Indies in 2006. When she is not working at the hospital, she can be found racing cars, riding her snowmobile, and showing her sheep all around New England. She is the leader of her local 4-H Club.
Dr. Mike has many experiences in the field of veterinary medicine, including small and large animals. She owns 4 working farm dogs named Spank, Nitro, Turbo, and Titan as well as 2 cats named Mr. and Toot. She began working at Townsend Veterinary Hospital in 2021, but she had worked with our team some years ago and is very happy to be back.
Diane
Business Manager
Diane has been with us for over 20 years as practice manager for Townsend Veterinary Hospital.
Her affection for the staff, clients, and patients of Townsend is clearly evident by her intense devotion to their well-being.
Diane is a long-term resident of Townsend and knows many of our clients personally. She lives with her husband, Norm, and her treasured cats, Ozzy, Sophia, Kahuna,and Bamboo. She is proud of her three grown children and ten grandchildren.
Diane enjoys spending time with her grandchildren. She and Norm escape the winter weather to their home in Florida for several weeks each winter.
Deb
Head Veterinary Technician
Deb graduated from college in 1989 with an associates degree in Animal Health Technology. She worked for Malden Animal Hospital for 8 years as the head technician as well as 2 years at Arlington Animal Hospital. We’ve been fortunate to have Deb working with us at Townsend since July of 1999.
Deb loves all animals including horses and cows, but adores Great Danes and all BIG dogs. She also loves the little ones –especially pomeranians.
Laurie
Veterinary Technician
Laurie joined Townsend Veterinary Hospital in 2005. She has been Dr. Easley’s chief technician for over 20 years. Anyone who is referred to Townsend for Dr. Easley’s surgical services will be comforted by Laurie’s dedication to their welfare.
Laurie lives with her much loved family of papillions, cats, and chickens.
Kiley
Veterinary Technician
Kiley has been at Townsend Veterinary Hospital since May 2019. She became a veterinary technician when she graduated from Becker College in 2020 with her Pre-Veterinary Science and Veterinary Technology degrees.
She has always been passionate about animals ever since she was child.
Kiley has two rabbits named Basil and Angel, as well as a cat named Archie, but grew up with birds, fish, hamsters, mice, dogs, guinea pigs, and tortoises. In her free time she likes reading, taking her cat for walks, and spending time outside.
Sara
Veterinary Technician
Sara is a compassionate and competent technician who graduated with her associates degree in animal science in 2015. She has been working in the veterinary field for 8 years. In her free time she enjoys being a mom, painting, art, hiking, kayaking, and spending time with her own animals. She loves her yellow lab, yorkie, cockapoo, cat, and 3 guinea pigs! Sara also loves helping owners keep their pets happy and healthy.
Rachel
Veterinary Technician
Rachel joined our team as a tech assistant after completing her internship here in 2020.. She is a recent graduate of Mount Wachusett Community College, with her associates degree in Veterinary Technology and is now a veterinary technician at TVH. When she is not taking care of our patients, she is busy with her 3 cats, a dog, a rabbit, and her 4 goats. She enjoys spending time with her furbabies.
Jess
Veterinary Technician Assistant
Jess has always had a love for animals and pursued this passion with a degree in animal care from Becker College. She started working for Townsend Veterinary Hospital in 2007.
She enjoys taking care of all the needs of the patients and staff at Townsend.
Jess is married with one son. She enjoys playing with her beautiful, mischievous felines, Koriolis, Horizon, Mindy and Pippen. She also cares for a flock of chickens.
Jennifer
Veterinary Technician Assistant
I’m Jennifer and I spent the last 12 years being a stay at home mom of 3. Now that they are all in school I decided to pursue a dream ive had for as long as I can remember! I got accepted into the Veterinary Technology Program at MWCC and I couldn’t be happier being a part of the TVH team where I am learning so much about the field while attending school! When I’m not in class, studying, or working I enjoy spending quality time with my children, playing games together, watching movies, and finding fun places to explore. I have 4 fur babies; my dog Ruby, my 2 cats Misty and Macy, and a rat named Stormy! Taking care of my children and fur babies is what makes me the happiest, but I also enjoy being creative with painting and crochet in my spare time.
Kristi
Lead Receptionist
Kristi joined our TVH team in 2010 and is proud to be part of a team that shows such compassion for pets and their owners. Kristi enjoys spending time with family. She has a natural artistic ability with decorating and planning events.
She is the proud parent of her two grown sons, Hunter and Nick.
Kristi has become such a great asset to the Townsend Veterinary family with her spunky personality and her ability to create a welcoming reception area for our clients to enjoy.
Meghan
Receptionist
Meghan joined our receptionist team in March of 2022. She graduated from Worcester State University with her Bachelor of Arts as a Sociology Major. Prior to the start of her veterinary experience, she worked in a preschool classroom but always had a love for animals. This is apparent with her daily interactions with patients. Meghan recently got her first home in NH with her boyfriend and three dogs, Gunner, Tyson and Barbie. She enjoys spending her time cooking and curled up at home with her fur babies.
